
‘Close-knit group’ graduates from Des Moines Christian School
Life should be like archery, not racquetball, said Des Moines Christian School teacher Dean Delzell at the Des Moines Christian School’s commencement ceremony in the school’s gym on Saturday.
Delzell told the 60 graduating seniors, of whom 58 participated in the ceremony, that they should not expect life to come back to them, like a ball does when playing racquetball. Instead, he advised for them to set their sight forward, like one does in archery.
“Don’t waste your life playing racquetball and waiting for it all to come back to you,” Delzell said. “Aim toward Christ. That’s the bullseye of your life.”
